Shimano Sahara 1000 & St Croix

What do you do when the big ones stay elusive all the time? Hahahaha... get a baby reel and baby rod, and pretend the baby fishes are GTs!! :-p

Jokes aside, I've always wanted to get one of those ultra light outfits with light lines. So here it is.

Shimano Sahara 1000 loaded with 6lbs line, and St Croix Premier Spinning.

Some specs for the St Croix -

Model - PS56ULF2
Length - 5'6''
Power - Ultra Light
Action - Fast
Pcs - 2
Line wt - 2-6
Lure weight - 1/32 - 3/16
Rod weight - 2.3oz

Here are some pictures to share :D

Great pics of the new '09 Sahara. I was so inspired by your closeups, I just ordered the 3000 to update an old spinning reel on a 6'6" rod, in my quest for the perfect combo.

Anyone who fishes knows it is a task to find the "Perfect combo", so we must convice the wives we need more gear or we'll go mad. :D
